Our Process

At The Dental Studio of Wellesley, we custom-make both crowns and veneers to address a variety of dental and esthetic needs.

Typically, restorations of this kind only need two visits. At the first appointment, we’ll examine your teeth and prepare them for the crown or veneer by carefully removing a layer from your tooth. This creates space around the tooth so the new shell can fit over it.

After the preparation of your tooth, we will take a 3D scan of the new tooth structure to ensure that your new restoration fits perfectly. Then we’ll install a temporary crown or veneer to help protect your tooth until the final product can be inserted.

Usually it takes a couple of weeks to create final crowns and veneers. Once they’re done, you’ll return for a second appointment to have them placed over your tooth.
