When you start your Invisalign treatments and every time you get a new set of aligners, you may feel some minor discomfort or pain for a few days. This is a good sign though, because it means that the aligners are working to adjust the position of your teeth. The longer you wear each aligner, the more comfortable it will feel as your teeth shift into the designed position.

Our Process
Invisalign works by gradually guiding your teeth through the use of customized aligner trays developed just for you.
The process begins with an initial consultation at our practice. We’ll discuss your goals and make sure that Invisalign is the best treatment option for aligning your teeth. Next, we’ll take molds of your teeth, which are used to strategically plan your case.
Your Invisalign aligners are temporary, clear tools that slot over your teeth and gradually adjust their shape. You’ll wear the aligner as directed, and then progress to the next aligner in the series. You will receive additional aligners at The Dental Studio of Wellesley throughout the course of your treatment.
Over time, you’ll work through several sets of aligners until your teeth are in their final desired position. We’ll then give you a retainer that you should wear each night on an ongoing basis to help your teeth maintain their position.
