Generally, dental implants are a two step process. First, you’ll need the actual implant placed, then you’ll have a crown placed on top of that implant. At The Dental Studio of Wellesley, we don’t place the dental implants in Wellesley. We refer our patients to specialists for that initial implant placement, and then finish it off with our abutment and crown services.

Our Process
Dental Implants in Wellesley can be a simple and comfortable experience. The Dental Studio of Wellesley is committed to making that happen for you!
Dental implants contain a few different parts: the implant body, the abutment and the crown. After the implant body has been placed and has integrated with your bone, we’ll take impressions to fabricate the abutment and crown which will sit on top of the implant body, just like your natural tooth once did.

With our Treatment Planning Tool, you can select your exact areas of concern and get personalized treatment recommendations.
Dental implants are designed to be a permanent installation in your mouth, but if the crown or abutment on top of it breaks, it’s possible to replace those parts if needed. The foundational rods embedded in your jawbone are permanently fixed into your mouth, however. Implants that are cared for well will last indefinitely.
After finishing the dental implant process, you’ll be free to eat and drink as normal. Of course, you’ll need to continue to practice good oral hygiene to maintain your implants and your remaining teeth. It’s important to keep up with your routine dental appointments and follow the care directions you receive from your dentist.
